Background Information
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Resource Management Officer and the direct supervision of the National ICT Officer in Ankara, the incumbent will provide basic technical support and services to users in IOM Ankara office and its field offices.
• Provide onsite end-user support to IOM Staffs.
• Support in the maintenance of present and upcoming ITC equipment.
• Assist in setting up conference devices in the meeting room as per request by IOM staffs.
• Provide recording day-to-day Asset assignment, Transfer, Account creation/deletion activities.
• Provide recording and updating overall Ankara ITC equipment.
• Assist in recording and updating access cards of IOM Ankara as provided by Security unit.
• Verify that all user problems are answered appropriately via ticket system , email, telephone call or in person.
• Install, configure and upgrade desktops and laptop computers and software (Windows 10/11, Server 2008/2012/2016/2019, MS Office 2013/2016, O365 and in-house produced software).Apply IOM ICT Software standards.
• Assist in the installation and administration of the security for the various system and network components, including protection against viruses, access to email and Internet.
• Install and relocate the unit’s hardware and coordinate equipment servicing.
• Support in the maintenance of present and upcoming ITC equipment.
• Keep abreast of latest IT standards and technology.
• Regularly report needs and progress on ITC issues in his/her area of responsibility.
• Assist the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the card reader access control system, and generate attendance system reports as required for administration and security purposes.
• Organizing IOM Ankara meeting rooms.
• Coordinate IT Assets with SCU Unit
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

Depending on experience and location, interns are granted a small monthly stipend to help offset costs. Interns benefiting from an internship allowance or scholarship granted by their university or other sponsoring body that includes financial remuneration or credits for coursework will not be eligible for the stipend.
IOM covers Interns against occupational accidents and illnesses under the Compensation Plan (CP), free of charge, for the duration of the internship. IOM does not provide evacuation or medical insurance for reasons related to non-occupational accidents and illnesses. Interns are responsible for their own medical insurance for non-occupational accident or illness and will be required to provide written proof of such coverage before commencing work.
