UNDP Vietnam is looking for a qualified International Consultant – Mine Action Specialist to provide technical and advisory support to the KVPVP team of the Governance and Participation Unit.
UNDP Viet Nam provides critical support in the areas of democratic governance and participation; inclusive and equitable growth; and sustainable development, climate change and disaster risk reduction.
The Korea–Viet Nam Peace Village Project (KVPVP) builds on the achievements of the Korea–Viet Nam Mine Action Project (KVMAP) and aims to promote inclusive, safe, and resilient local development by addressing the impacts of EO and improving livelihoods and health conditions of affected communities.
UNDP Viet Nam acts as the technical and financial intermediary, responsible for providing technical support, receiving KOICA funding and disbursing to implementing partners while ensuring compliance with UNDP rules and donor requirements.
OBJECTIVES
The primary objective of this IC assignment is to provide technical and advisory support to the KVPVP team of the Governance and Participation Unit, under the overall guidance of the Chief Technical Advisor for Mine Action (CTA). The consultant will support the implementation of KVPVP activities, contribute to the roll-out of the project of Clearing the Past, Greening the Future in the Mekong Region (CPGFM project), and provide technical inputs to environmental mainstreaming in mine action is effectively integrated into relevant human security interventions.
