Humanity & Inclusion (HI), formerly known as Handicap International, is an independent international humanitarian organization dedicated to supporting people with disabilities and vulnerable populations affected by conflict, disasters, poverty, and exclusion. Founded in 1982, HI works in around 60 countries to improve access to healthcare, rehabilitation, protection, education, livelihoods, and inclusive humanitarian assistance. The organization is internationally recognized for its expertise in disability inclusion, rehabilitation, mine action, and armed violence reduction, working alongside local communities and partners to promote dignity, independence, and equal opportunities for all.
