Background The goal of the global portfolio monitoring and reporting function is to provide support to IFC’s investment clients with gaps in corporate governance and accurate and up-to-date reporting on the outcomes of corporate governance work globally across investment and advisory support. The goal of the IFC’s EAP Corporate Governance Program is to build sustainable businesses in the region through improved corporate governance. Generally, this includes: (i) build the business case for banks and companies to implement corporate governance; (ii) assist companies in improving their corporate governance practices; (iii) support the development of an effective corporate governance regulatory framework; and (iv) build sustainable institutional capacity for corporate governance advisory services.
Duties and Accountabilities
The Extended-Term Consultant will have two distinct roles: 1) work on the global portfolio program, supporting client directly and leading the reporting function; and 2) assist in varying capacities to develop, design, and manage targeted corporate governance activities in China and across the EAP region.
