Background:

The 2050 Strategy is a visionary, long-term framework designed to drive sustainable growth, resilience, and strategic development over the coming decades. Navigating the complex, cross-cutting challenges of the next quarter-century requires an agile, evidence-based approach. To ensure the strategy remains measurable, impactful, and responsive to emerging global and regional trends, high-quality data governance and sophisticated analytical frameworks are paramount. The Adviser / Consultant on Data Analytics & Insights will provide the high-level expertise needed to transform diverse data streams into strategic foresight, guiding executive decision-making and ensuring robust accountability

The Adviser - Data Analytics & Insights individual Consultant supports the implementation through the following key tasks and activities:

  • Supports the implementation of the 2050 Strategy through the provision of high-quality data analytics, insights, and evidence to inform decision-making, monitoring, and reporting. 
  • The role is responsible for strengthening data systems, working closely with the 2050 MEL Advisor supporting Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) processes, and enabling data-driven reporting to Forum Leaders and stakeholders. The position contributes to building a culture of evidence-based planning and continuous learning across the region. 
  • The position works in close collaboration with the Pacific Community (SPC), including the Pacific Data Hub as the region’s key data repository, to ensure alignment of data systems, access to regional datasets
