Consultant (Government & Public Relations Unit) [based in Seoul]

We are seeking a Consultant for a 1-year-term to work within the Government & Public Relations Unit at the International Vaccine Institute.

Job Description

The consultant will support the Government & Public Relations Unit in Korea by contributing to fundraising, donor engagement, advocacy, and integrated marketing PR activities. The role will focus on mobilizing financial and public support from corporate and individual donors, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and enhancing IVI’s visibility.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Fundraising Strategy and Plan and Implementation

• Support the development and execution of fundraising strategies targeting domestic corporations, foundations, and individual donors.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of public fundraising and advocacy campaigns, including major events (e.g., 30th anniversary celebrations).
• Develop and implement digital fundraising initiatives to engage and retain consistent supporters.
• Prepare and submit proposals for sponsorships, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities.

2. Donor Engagement and Partnership Management

• Support the implementation of integrated marketing PR activities to promote fundraising campaigns and partnerships across media and digital platforms.
• Contribute to content development, media outreach, and stakeholder visibility efforts.
• Support website updates and maintain consistency across Korean digital platforms.
• Monitor and analyze media and social media coverage and generate insights to support continuous improvement.

4. Operational and Administrative Support

1. Education Requirements

• BA in business administration, international relations, language and literature or related field

2. Related Field Work Experience

• 4 – 8 years of work experience in public fundraising and related fields essential

3. Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge

• Solid understanding of fundraising principles and campaign implementation, including digital outreach and proposal support
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills for donor engagement, partnerships, and events
• Proven ability to develop and tailor content for campaigns, social media, and external communications
• Good organizational and project coordination skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks

4. Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Korean required; proficiency in English is an asset
