EXPECTED OUTPUTS AND TIMELINES / RESULT OF SERVICE The expected outputs of the assignment are the following: Outputs: Submission of 7 SETs of deliverables, which include: 7 press releases / news articles with photos/video, 7 social media posts; 7 media monitoring reports; and 7 consolidated reports on project logistics and support activities coordinated. Timeline: Reports to be provided each month from September 2026 to March 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities
BACKGROUND:. The International Trade Centre (ITC) is a joint agency of the United Nations (UN) and the World Trade Organization (WTO). It is fully dedicated to supporting the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It has a mission to foster inclusive and sustainable growth and development through trade and international business development. ITC, in partnership with FAO and WFP, is implementing the South Sudan – Green and Resilient Agriculture and Climate Economy (GRACE). The project has an overall goal of promoting green, sustainable, and climate-resilient economic development by contributing to increased food and nutrition security, resilience to shocks, and job creation in South Sudan. It has three major specific objectives of a) strengthening agricultural (crop) livelihoods through increased productive capacity and productivity, improved food and nutrition security, adaptation to climate change, and enhanced preparedness against and resilience to shocks and crises; b) supporting the development of a more competitive, sustainable, and modern agriculture through the development of resilient, context-specific agricultural value chains, the improvement of access to services, and the empowerment of women and youth; and c) enhancing the protection and sustainable management of the natural resource base of the economy and agricultural livelihoods. The project supports the development of four value chains (such as sorghum, groundnuts, honey, and horticulture) by improving production, processing and handling practices; building technical and operational capacities of producers, cooperatives, businesses and support institutions; and improving access to productive and processing inputs, finance and markets. The GRACE project is funded by the European Union (EU) under the Neighbourhood Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI and is implemented over a period of 48 months in four states, namely: Central Equatoria State, Lakes State, Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, and Western Equatoria State. It will support small holder farmers, producers cooperatives, micro, small and medium sized enterprises that operate businesses in the various target product sectors, such as honey, horticulture, groundnuts and sorghum. ITC’s role will focus on providing support aimed at enhancing the business enabling environment; supporting market development, value addition and quality compliance capacities through training, advisory, and experience sharing; creating market linkages; and building capacities to facilitate regional, continental and global trade integration for South Sudan. To facilitate the management of project events and logistics while supporting communications and visibility activities, ITC is looking for the services of a national expert to undertake the tasks specified below. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Under the direct supervision and guidance of the Project Manager, the consultant will perform the following tasks: Communications and Visibility: • Plan and implement project visibility and communications strategies, by regularly monitoring project activities and events. • Develop and disseminate high-quality project communication and visibility materials (press releases, success stories, newsletters, social media posts and brochures), according to the approved communications plan for the project. This will involve monitoring project activities and events, progress of implementation and conducting interviews of project beneficiaries and partners. • Undertake photography and filming of project events and beneficiaries, capturing moments, participant engagement, high-quality content for documentation, programme promotion, and social media. All photos and videos need to meet a high-quality standard according to ITCs visual guidelines. • Build strong relationships with media outlets to maximize press coverage, enhance programme value, relevance and promotion, as well as community outreach. • Plan and organise radio talk shows and interviews for project beneficiaries and partners, fostering project activities and progress • Serve as local focal person for project communications and visibility activities. • Conduct media monitoring, and compile and register the list of news outlets through which project information has been disseminated. Event Coordination and Management: • Plan, coordinate and facilitate logistics and support services required for the organization project events (workshops, conferences, webinars, including venue selection, setup, and catering). • Facilitate and coordinate invitations for project events and registration of participants, tracking responses to invitations and ensuring support for smooth proceedings and execution of the events. • Plan and coordinate the deployment of ITC field vehicle and rental vehicles to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of required services to project personnel. • Participate in monthly progress update meetings to report on progress of implementation of communication and event management activities. Copyright Clause: The consultant has to ensure that she has obtained the necessary permissions with regard to intellectual property rights required to perform her services under this consultancy contract and for the subsequent dissemination by ITC in any form. Documentary proof is to be submitted to ITC. Should any license fee be due for the use of copyrighted materials of third parties, the consultant shall request the prior written permission from ITC. Qualifications/special skills
A candidate with a university first degree in communications, mass media, journalism, public and business relations, public management, or related field. Extensive relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the university degree. The candidate should have at least 2 years’ experience in communications and/or journalism related areas. Proven experience in coordination of programme events would be an asset.
