About this position

We are looking for a professional, analytical, and research-oriented Economist. As an Economist, you will support the Productivity, Trade, and Innovation Sector (PTI) in the production of studies on trade, investment, and digital transformation.

You will work in the Integration and Trade Sector (INT), part of the Vice Presidency for Sectors and Knowledge. This team is responsible for performing research, providing policy advice and technical assistance, and carrying out financial operations through grants and loans, with the objective of strengthening the capacity of countries in Latin America and the Caribbean in the areas of trade and integration.

What you’ll do

• Assist researchers in the preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations.
• Identify, compile, and organize databases.
• Perform econometric and statistical analyses.
• Prepare literature reviews.
• Participate in academic discussions on research findings.

What you'll need

• Education:Bachelor's degree in economics (with strong quantitative background).
• Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in applied microeconometric research at a recognized university, research center, or government organization. Proficiency in Stata programming is required.
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required.

International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility).
