Cabo Delgado Province, already one of the most vulnerable and poverty-stricken provinces of Mozambique, has been affected since late 2017 by armed conflict perpetrated by Non-state armed groups which has continued to destabilize pockets of territory, generating new waves of displacement and constantly undermining the provision of humanitarian assistance.
In Cabo Delgado, ACF has been implementing its humanitarian response with an integrated, multi-sectoral approach, addressing Health & Nutrition, Mental Health & Psychosocial Support, Food Security & Livelihoods, and WASH, amongst the Mozambican Internally Displaced Persons in camp and non-camp settings, as well as Returnees and Host Communities. Our team, currently composed of 7 international staff and 116 national staff, is running operations of approximatively 6 million euros. The main donors of the mission are DG ECHO, SIDA, and the Crisis and Support Centre of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
