The Pacific Community (SPC)

SPC is the principal scientific and technical organization in the Pacific region. It is owned and governed by 27 Pacific Island countries and territories and metropolitan members, and supports its members through science, technical expertise, data, research and development programmes. A recent SPC document states that the organization has 950+ employees and headquarters in Nouméa, with regional offices in Fiji, Tonga, the Federated States of Micronesia and Vanuatu.
