Mission and objectives

Adunni Awe wings of hope Initiatives. Vision: To build a society where youths are empowered, responsible, and actively involved in leadership, social development, and sustainable nation-building. Mission: To promote youth development through leadership training, education, advocacy, skills acquisition, and civic engagement, with a focus on empowering young women and vulnerable youths to realize their full potential and contribute positively to their communities. Aims and Objectives The aims and objectives of Adunni Youth Rise Initiatives shall include the following: To promote leadership development, civic responsibility, and good citizenship among youths. To provide educational support, mentorship, and capacity-building programmes aimed at improving personal development and employability of young people. To empower young women and other vulnerable or marginalized youths through advocacy, training, and inclusive development initiatives. To facilitate skills acquisition, entrepreneurship development, and economic empowerment programmes for youths. To encourage active youth participation in community development, volunteerism, and social impact initiatives. To promote ethical values, social responsibility, and positive behavioural change among young people. To advocate for youth inclusion in decision-making processes at community and policy levels. To collaborate and partner with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, development partners, and the private sector in furtherance of the Initiative’s objectives. To carry out such other lawful activities as may be incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.

Context

Adunni AWE Wings of Hope Initiatives is a non-profit, community-based organization committed to empowering women, youth, children, and vulnerable populations through education, entrepreneurship, health awareness, skills development, leadership training, economic empowerment, and community development programs. As our programs continue to expand, there is a growing need to secure sustainable funding and strategic partnerships that will enable us to reach more beneficiaries and increase our impact. The contribution of Online Volunteers will help strengthen our resource mobilization capacity and support the implementation of projects that contribute to sustainable community development. This assignment contributes directly to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: * SDG 1 – No Poverty * SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being * SDG 4 – Quality Education * SDG 5 – Gender Equality * SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth * SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities * SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals

Task Description

Adunni AWE Wings of Hope Initiatives seeks support from Online Volunteers to strengthen resource mobilization efforts for our women, youth, and community development programs across Nigeria. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, volunteers will support the organization by: * Assisting in the development of resource mobilization and fundraising strategies. * Researching potential donors, foundations, grant opportunities, corporate sponsors, and development partners. * Identifying cooperation and partnership opportunities with local and international organizations. * Supporting the preparation of concept notes, funding proposals, sponsorship requests, and donor engagement materials. * Assisting in the creation of communication and advocacy materials for fundraising campaigns. * Conducting research on best practices in nonprofit fundraising and resource mobilization. * Supporting stakeholder mapping and partnership development initiatives. * Helping to strengthen the organization’s visibility among donors and development partners. Online Volunteers will not be requested to make financial contributions or solicit donations directly from third parties.
