Learning from the experience in the last 30 years and recognising the realities of the current context in Afghanistan, UN-Habitat designs projects applying integrated, gender-sensitive, innovative and highly agile approaches, putting the needs of people first, targeting the most vulnerable and meeting local needs. The portfolio currently covers projects ranging from humanitarian responses to supporting recovery and meeting basic human needs. This assignment will support our mission to raise awareness and showcase the agency’s impactful work throughout the country; UN-Habitat’s Afghanistan communications unit is looking for 1 online volunteer to support efforts in increasing visibility, impact, and outreach of the agency through creative human-interest story writing.Task Description
With the support of the UN-Habitat Communications Unit, the Online Volunteer is expected to support writing 7 human-interest stories, highlighting the impact of UN-Habitat's work and programmes in Afghanistan. Project background notes, interview notes of project beneficiaries, along with writing manuals, will be shared with the Online Volunteer.Competencies and values
