The Global Policy Centre for Governance provides evidence, research, and policy guidance that strengthen governance systems globally. This assignment will support the Centre’s priority workstream on Financial Integrity. Financial integrity is a priority area of work for the Centre. Achieving financial integrity for sustainable development requires greater transparency, stronger institutions, enhanced accountability, and more cooperation at the national, regional and global levels. The Centre’s work on financial integrity focuses on the development of integrated policy alternatives and solutions, including systemic derisking approaches that build trust, improve predictability, accountability and the enabling environment for sustainable investment in government and development.Task Description

This is a remote, part-time UN Volunteer assignment (50% ). Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence (home country or country where they hold a valid work permit). The city from which the selected candidate will work remotely at the start of the assignment will constitute the official duty station and cannot be changed during the contract period. Benefits and entitlements applicable to remote and part-time UN Volunteer assignments will apply. Candidates must disclose any ongoing employment or outside professional activities, which may require prior approval by the host entity. UN Volunteer entitlements and allowances: The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable them to sustain a secure standard of living in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Contingent on specific eligibility criteria, location of the volunteer, and contractual type and category, the payment of allowances will begin from the date of Commencement of Service. For information specific to your assignment, please see below: - Monthly Living Allowance (Remote Arrangement): Prorated to 50% of the applicable VLA for the category. The final amount will be calculated based on the selected candidate’s country of residence using the UNV Allowance Calculator: https://app.unv.org/calculator. - Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 200 - Medical and life insurance: Cigna Private Insurance - Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month - Certified and Uncertified Sick Leave in accordance with UNV Conditions of Service.
