    Introduction

    The Expert will be based at the Ministry of Education – Jerusalem Unit, with regular travel to education institutions and relevant stakeholders across East Jerusalem as required.

    Description of the Assignment: UNDP seeks to engage an Education Policy and Sector Coordination Expert – East Jerusalem to provide strategic and technical advisory support to the Ministry of Education. Embedded within the Ministry’s Jerusalem Unit, the Expert will support education policy development and strategic planning, help reactivate and facilitate the East Jerusalem Education Thematic Working Group, strengthen coordination across Ministry departments and development partners, and improve monitoring of education initiatives. The assignment aims to reinforce the Ministry’s leadership and ensure that investments in East Jerusalem align with its education priorities

    Period of assignment: 12 months, from October 2026 to September 2027. Payments will be based on deliverables.
