The ITD Finance and Human Capital Management Unit is seeking an experienced contractual Business Analyst to support ERP financial applications used for the Fund’s corporate finance, capacity development, and related corporate business processes.
The role will work with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, analyze processes, support application enhancements, coordinate testing, and contribute to modernization initiatives, including responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities within governed enterprise processes.
The IMF relies heavily on PeopleSoft for these business processes; hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Financials or another major ERP platform is required.
The selected candidate must bring strong ERP business analysis experience, sound judgment, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to work effectively across business, technology, governance, and vendor stakeholders.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1) Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for ERP application enhancements.
2) Develop process flows, business rules, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, and related delivery artifacts.
3) Assess business needs, functional gaps, dependencies, risks, and operational impacts to support enhancement prioritization and solution decisions.
4) Support system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing, including test scenarios, defect triage, and business validation.
5) Coordinate release-readiness activities, including approvals, deployment planning, communications, documentation, and post-implementation support.
6) Work with product owners, platform teams, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders to align solutions with approved requirements and enterprise standards.
7) Support Statements of Work, service-provider coordination, and vendor deliverables within the scope of assigned business analysis activities.
8) Identify opportunities to improve ERP-enabled processes through configuration, reporting, workflow optimization, automation, analytics, or appropriately governed AI-assisted capabilities.
9) Assess AI-enabled use cases for business value, data readiness, privacy, security, risk, controls, and human oversight.
10) Validate AI-generated outputs and process results against authoritative sources, approved business rules, and expected outcomes, escalating material limitations or risks as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Advanced university degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, finance, or a related field, plus a minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience.
