The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page.
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the Green Coupon Subsidy Facility (GCSF), Pillar III of the European Union’s Global Green Bond Initiative (GGBI). The Facility seeks to expand access of low- and middle-income countries to international and local green capital markets by reducing the cost of capital associated with eligible green and sustainability bond issuances.
The GCSF provides targeted grant subsidies to eligible sovereign, sub-sovereign and corporate issuers to reduce debt-servicing costs associated with qualifying green and sustainability bonds. The Facility complements the GGBI Fund and its Technical Assistance pillar and is implemented by GGGI in close coordination with the European Commission, EU Delegations and other GGBI partners.
The Capital Markets Senior Officer will serve as a lead transaction manager for GCSF-supported green and sustainability bond transactions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The position will lead the day-to-day assessment and development of assigned transactions from initial engagement and screening through approval, grant contracting, bond issuance and post-issuance monitoring. The Senior Officer will combine strong capital-markets expertise with an understanding of sustainable finance, sovereign and corporate debt, credit and transaction structuring to assess the financial and technical merits of prospective issuances.
