About WaterAid

WaterAid is an international organization founded in 1981 and working in around 20 countries to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere. It works with local partners and governments to deliver services and to change the policies, financing and institutions that decide whether those services last.

It is a federation of national members, including WaterAid UK, America, Australia, Canada, India, Japan and Sweden, each of which recruits under the WaterAid name.

Why Join WaterAid

WaterAid roles run from WASH engineering, public health and programme management in its country programmes to policy, research, advocacy and campaigning on water and sanitation financing and governance, plus the fundraising and support functions of its national members. Its stated aim is systems that keep working long after a project ends, so much of the work is with governments and service providers rather than direct delivery.
