Tearfund

Tearfund is a Christian relief and development agency based in Teddington, United Kingdom. It works with local churches and partner organizations in more than 50 countries to tackle poverty through sustainable development, respond to disasters and challenge injustice. It traces its origins to 1968, when the Evangelical Alliance Relief Fund Committee first met, and is a registered charity in England and Wales and in Scotland.

Tearfund publishes its vacancies on its careers site, jobs.tearfund.org, with roles in the UK and in regional and country teams in Asia, Africa, Eurasia and North Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean. Candidates can also join a talent pool for temporary roles, internships and volunteering; the internship scheme runs from September to May or June. Some roles carry a genuine occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian.

Staff at Tearfund work in development programmes, humanitarian response, global influencing, fundraising and communications, finance and core operations. Roles are based at the Teddington office in the UK and in teams covering Asia, East and Central Africa, Southern and East Africa, West Africa, Eurasia and North Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean, working through local churches and partners.
