The Nature Conservancy is a global conservation organization founded in the United States in 1951 and working in more than 70 countries and territories. It protects land and water through science-led programmes, land and water protection agreements, conservation finance and work with governments, indigenous peoples and local communities.
Its stated 2030 goals cover climate change mitigation, protection of land, freshwater and ocean habitats, and support for the people who depend on them.
The Conservancy hires conservation scientists, freshwater and marine specialists, policy advisers and programme and country directors alongside conservation finance, philanthropy and operations roles. Its Africa, Asia-Pacific and Latin America programmes recruit locally for field and country leadership positions as well as through the Arlington headquarters.
