CFG is an independent think-and-do tank with a mission to help policymakers anticipate and govern rapid technological change. We are a team of researchers, scientists, and policy experts finding ways to harness emerging technologies to serve the best interests of humanity. We believe in a world where powerful technologies are used to help tackle the challenges of our time. CFG focuses on technologies that shape the global balance of power: fast-evolving, far-reaching, and still largely ungoverned. Our programmes cover Advanced AI, Biotech, Climate interventions, Neurotech, and our Incubator. How we work: 1) Anticipate - We use foresight methods to identify emerging scenarios and issues. 2) Inform - We educate policymakers and those who influence them about the opportunities and risks of emerging technologies. 3) Influence - We propose solutions to policy challenges and advocate for their implementation. The Centre for Future Generations is a nonprofit organisation supported by philanthropic foundations. We do not accept funding that could compromise our independence. We are based in Brussels.
