Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA)

Silver Spring, USA Non-Governmental Organizations Founded 1956

About ADRA

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency is the global humanitarian arm of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, founded in 1956 as the Seventh-day Adventist Welfare Service and renamed ADRA in 1984. Its international office is in Silver Spring, Maryland, and it delivers relief and development programmes through a network of national offices in more than 100 countries.

Its work covers emergency response, health, education, livelihoods, food security and water and sanitation, and it serves people without regard to their religious affiliation.

Why Join ADRA

ADRA recruits both for its international office and for the national offices that run its country programmes, so vacancies range from emergency response and technical programme roles to grants, compliance, finance and communications. The network works on long-term development as well as disaster relief, and much of its capacity is national staff working in their own countries.
