UNHCR India works to protect and assist refugees, asylum-seekers, and other forcibly displaced persons by ensuring access to protection, basic services, and durable solutions while promoting their well-being and self-reliance. As part of its commitment to accountability and evidence-based programming, UNHCR India conducts Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) exercises each year to assess the effectiveness, relevance, and utilization of food and cash assistance provided, ensuring that support reaches intended beneficiaries and contributes to their essential needs and protection outcomes.Context
Task Description
Under the guidance of the UNHCR India team, the Online Volunteer will support the analysis and reporting of data collected through the PDM exercise. The assignment will include: • Review, clean and organize the PDM dataset to ensure consistency and readiness for analysis. • Analyse quantitative PDM data using appropriate statistical and analytical methods, including disaggregation by relevant demographic, geographic and programme variables. • Identify key trends, patterns, gaps and notable findings emerging from the data. • Develop tables, charts and other data visualizations to communicate findings clearly and accurately. • Where applicable, review and synthesize qualitative responses and integrate relevant findings with the quantitative analysis. • Support interpretation of findings against the objectives and key indicators of the PDM exercise. • Draft the PDM report, including methodology, key findings, analysis, conclusions and actionable recommendations. • Revise the analysis and report based on feedback from UNHCR and ensure consistency between the underlying data, visualizations, findings and narrative. • Support preparation of a concise summary of key findings for internal and external communication, as required. The Online Volunteer will support remotely and will receive the necessary datasets, questionnaire, analytical framework and relevant background documentation from UNHCR. The assignment will not involve direct interaction with refugees or collection of personal data. All information and data shared for the assignment must be treated as confidential and handled in accordance with applicable UNHCR data protection requirements. Expected deliverables: A cleaned and structured analytical dataset; analytical tables and visualizations; summary of key findings; and a finalized PDM report incorporating UNHCR feedback.Competencies and values
