--------------------- POSITION SUMMARY The UN Global Compact (UNGC) is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 20,000 companies across 160 countries committed to building a better future. To carry out its mission, the UNGC runs programs with two main objectives:
This individual would report to the Head of Reporting and work closely with other members of the UNGC Reporting team and functions such as the Data and Digital teams, Marketing and Communications, Programmes, and Measurement & Evaluation to understand the impact from the data collected via the CoP. In addition to driving product enhancements and strategy, tasks would include defining approaches to evaluate and analyze CoP data and communicate results through written reports and marketing materials and may change depending on shifting priorities. This role will also assist in applying a data lens to the UNGC Programmes strategy and supporting work with topic experts on the Programmes team. This position would also engage Compact business participants as well as UN and other strategic partners. This is a unique opportunity to help to execute a key strategic initiative. It also provides exposure to the United Nations – specifically mechanisms for businesses to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals – and the corporate sustainability landscape. Additional requirement: Must be based in the NYC Metro area and willing to work in Midtown Manhattan office alongside team members at least twice a week.
