The Office for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) provides mental health and psychosocial support to OSCE officials across all duty stations. Alongside individual services and interventions, OSH is strengthening its preventive offer through psychoeducation, training and peer support. Two current initiatives require dedicated support: (1) the development of a concise, self-paced e-learning module on mental health and well-being in the workplace for OSCE managers, whose technical production is commissioned to external technical consultants/software developers; and (2) the establishment of an OSCE-wide Peer-to-Peer Support Volunteer training for volunteers from all executive structures and duty stations.
The assignment provides the psychological content input and co-ordination capacity needed to translate the OSH mental health approach into e-learning content, to keep the work of internal and external contributors aligned, and to prepare related workshops and trainings.
Objective of Assignment:
To support OSH in developing the content of a mental health e-learning module for managers and the materials for related mental health workshops and trainings, including co-ordination with internal and external contractors, and to provide organizational and administrative support to the OSH mental health team.
Duration of Assignment:
From the start of the assignment until 31 December 2026.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Senior Psychologist, Office for Occupational Safety and Health, the successful candidate(s) will be tasked with the following duties:
1. E-learning content: Support the development of the content of a concise, self-paced e-learning module on mental health and well-being in the workplace for OSCE managers: research and summarize current evidence and good practice; draft learning objectives and content on (a) mental health and well-being in the workplace and the manager’s role in fostering it, (b) personal well-being and thriving as a manager, (c) supporting a colleague experiencing poor mental health, and (d) addressing mental health-related stigma; develop case scenarios, storytelling elements, reflective exercises and knowledge checks, including guidance for managers on sensitive conversations; and align the content with OSCE policies and OSH services and referral pathways;
2. Co-ordination: Co-ordinate the content work with internal and external contributors, in particular the external technical consultants/software developers producing the module: prepare and follow up on co-ordination meetings, transmit content and consolidated feedback, track timelines and deliverables, and organize review and user testing of draft versions;
3. Workshops and trainings: Support the development of content and materials for other mental health-related workshops and trainings delivered by OSH, including the training of Peer Support Volunteers from across OSCE executive structures and duty stations: literature research, session plans, presentations, handouts, exercises, case studies and participant evaluation forms;
4. Organizational and administrative support: Provide logistical preparation of workshops and trainings (scheduling, invitations, registration and participant lists, venues and online platforms), correspondence with participants and nominating units, minute-taking, filing and documentation, and preparation of short reports and information materials.
