Background

NRC is an independent humanitarian organization that helps people who are forced to flee. We provide assistance to meet immediate humanitarian needs, prevent further displacement, and support displaced people as they build a new future. Around 15,000 humanitarians work with the NRC. Most of us are hired locally to work in the field, and a small number are based at our head office in Oslo, Norway. Many of our colleagues were once themselves fleeing their homes. In 2022, we reached almost 10 million people across 40 countries.
What You Will Do:
• Conduct in-person and phone call data collection with the designated individuals.
• Ensure clear communication with respondents regarding the purpose and timing of the interviews.
• Complete questionnaires accurately and comprehensively during interviews with respondents
• Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all respondent information obtained during interviews.
• Store data securely and do not disclose it to any unauthorized individuals or parties.
• Promptly report any issues or challenges encountered during data collection to the Emergency Response Coordinator.
• Support the ‘Core Competency’ relevant staff in office work including documentation, scanning, and uploading them to
specified folders.
• Data entry to the selected Excel tools in order to digitalize the paper-based information when needed

Previous experience working with NRC will be considered an advantage, particularly experience in a Data Collector position.
