Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship
The position of Senior Treasury Assistant is assigned to the Financial Policy and Planning Division within the Treasury Department. You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
You will report to the designated international staff and senior officer.
Your Role
As a Senior Treasury Assistant, you will support analytical work relating to ADB's asset and liability management (ALM) process. You will also be involved in projects to automate operational reports and processes.
You will:
- Help prepare and maintain ALM records by collecting, organizing and reconciling accounting data related to ALM reports and ALM activities
- Support analytical work relating to various aspects of the asset and liability management process, including local currency loan pricing, balance sheet item analysis, pool rate calculations, funding and refinancing requirements, and liquidity reviews. Maintain analytical data files, perform reconciliations, investigate variances, and contribute to analyses supporting ALM decision-making.
- Support the review and organization of finance documents related to ALM operations including equity and liquidity review and assist in validating data and assumptions used in ALM analyses and projections.
- Provide support on project tasks including the user acceptance testing for automating ALM reports and asset and liability management systems (ALMS) and contribute to enhancements in ALM processes, documentation, data quality, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Help analyze AIF financial projections, including liquidity performance reporting, funding requirements, and review of projection assumptions. Help review AIF and other trust fund documents, including data reconciliation, identification of inconsistencies, and preparation of analytical inputs for reporting requirements.
- Help identify issues arising from ALM analyses and reports, recommend areas requiring further review, and help complete assigned analytical outputs and reporting requirements.
- Perform any other duties as may be required and reflected in the incumbent's workplan including support in ADB-wide initiatives and committees including the various funds and facilities proposed
Qualifications
You will need:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other related disciplines.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint, Power BI).
- Good memo composition and editing skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English, with interpersonal skills.

Additional Information
This appointment is open to internal and external applicants.
This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
