  • Carry out site visits at least quarterly for each major SRCTIP and ACCESS contract to verify progress, workmanship, materials testing, quarry and borrow area management, and traffic and worker safety.
  • Review contractors' work programmes, quality assurance plans, method statements and test records, and recommend corrective actions with deadlines where deviations are found.
  • Verify that environmental and social requirements (including environmental and social management plans, resettlement action plans, labor management, prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment, and tree-felling and compensation measures) are applied in the works and reported in supervision reports.
  • Verify, on a sample basis, the physical basis of measured quantities and interim payment certificates. Contract Management Support
  • Monitor register of all active works and supervision contracts, covering value, key dates, securities, insurance, variations, claims, payments and status.
  • Review and advise on variation orders, extension of time requests, price adjustment, claims and dispute resolution, consistent with the contract conditions and World Bank procurement requirements.
  • Analyze contract performance (planned versus actual progress, cash flow, delay analysis) and issue early-warning notes for contracts at risk.
  • Advise on contract amendments and requests for the Bank's no objection, confirming technical justification and value for money.
