Job Description

At the International Finance Corporation (IFC) , a member of the World Bank Group (WBG) , you’ll join a diverse, global community working across cultures, disciplines, and borders to address the world’s most pressing development challenges. With 1.2 billion young people reaching working age in the decade ahead, the challenge of job creation has never been greater. Through partnerships across 145 countries and more than 182 offices worldwide, we work with governments, the private sector, development partners, and other stakeholders to invest in people, strengthen markets, and deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that generate more and better jobs and improve lives. In fiscal year 2026, IFC committed a record $105.6 billion to private companies and financial institutions in developing countries. For more information, visit www.ifc.org. The Trade and Supply Chain Finance Department (CTS) is one of IFC’s industry groups, delivering both investment and advisory services to IFC’s clients through its global network. Global trade is an engine of growth that creates jobs, reduces poverty, and expands economic opportunities. It is a key driver of integration and creates opportunities for local enterprises in emerging markets and developing countries. Financing trade is fundamental to the movement of goods at all stages of the supply chain and can have a significant development impact in developing countries. IFC’s trade and supply chain finance programs under CTS offer guarantees, risk-sharing facilities, loans, and other structured products to support trade in emerging markets. Through these products, IFC has supported financial institutions, buyers/importers, and suppliers/exporters in more than 100 countries across all regions of the world. To date, IFC has supported more than US$330 billion in global trade. CTS is a significant contributor to IFC’s overall program as its commitments represent about 24% of IFC’s total annual commitments. CTS is looking for an Extended Term Consultant (ETC) who is responsible for managing advisory services at CTS. S/he will be responsible for developing trade advisory products and deploying these programs in emerging markets. The ETC will report to the Global Manager, Business Development, CTSBD.
