The Consultant is expected to commence the assignment in November 2026 and conclude in April 2027. The primary objective is to develop, analyse, integrate, and visualize geospatial and remote sensing information to support the assessment of readiness for community-based blue carbon projects, particularly mangrove and seagrass projects. The Consultant will provide spatial evidence for the six dimensions of the Blue Carbon Readiness Framework (BCRF) and support the development of spatially explicit readiness maps to inform blue carbon project development and decision-making. The Consultant will be responsible for contributions to the following technical domains:

Geospatial Database Development and Data Management
Blue Carbon Ecosystem Mapping and Analysis
Remote Sensing and Google Earth Engine (GEE) Analysis
Thematic Mapping and Spatial Analysis
Spatial Support to the BCRF Readiness Dimensions
Spatial Readiness Index and Readiness Mapping
Spatial Data Quality Control, Validation, and Visualization

Period of assignment/services: 70 working days within 6 months

The assignment is home-based, with travel to Jakarta and other locations within Indonesia as required and subject to prior approval.

The assignment is home-based in Indonesia, with any required travel subject to the assignment requirements and UNDP rules and regulations. The TOR does not specify fixed travel destinations.
