The Fund’s Investment Unit within the IMF Finance Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the function of Investment Officer/Senior Investment Officer, with a specific focus on investment strategy and asset manager/fund selection and oversight in private markets.
The Fund Investment Unit is currently responsible for all aspects of managing over USD 100 billion in Investment Account (IA) and Trust Investment Assets (TA). This includes the IA Fixed-Income Subaccount as well as multi-asset portfolios of the Endowment Subaccount and Poverty Reduction and Growth Trust. Day-to-day investment management activities for the IA and TA are handled largely by external managers while third-party service providers record transactions and serve as the official book of records.

A regular staff member who is selected to fill the vacancy will maintain their open-ended status. If the selected candidate is a contractual employee, they will be offered a Term staff appointment. Staff members already on a term appointment will continue their current term but may receive an extension provided that their current term appointment has not already been extended.
