Our internship program for the Legal and Risk Unit runs on a six-month cycle and
we are currently looking for our next intern. We are seeking a motivated and detailoriented intern to support our unit.
This is an excellent opportunity for students with an interest in risk assessment, risk management, data protection and compliance to gain practical experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The role will focus on managing and optimising information and data within the Risk
Unit, leveraging Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Tools and Monday.com to
improve reporting, analysis and workflow efficiency.
Strong IT skills are highly desirable.
In addition, the role will support data protection, compliance and due diligence
activities, including maintaining records, research and reporting for due diligence
checks, and contributing to general legal compliance at the ECF.
Risk Management:
o Lead and support activities related to identifying, assessing and managing
organizational risks.
o Assist in developing, updating and maintaining enterprise and project-level
risk registers.
o Contribute to the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies,
monitoring progress and recommending improvements.
o Support with reporting on key risk indicators and contribute to risk
awareness across the organization.
o Conduct research on emerging risk trends and regulatory risks.
o Analyze data using Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Tools,
Monday.com and other tools; identify opportunities for improved data
handling and reporting.
o Develop dashboards, charts and visual reports to effectively communicate
risk insights, trends and key findings to stakeholders.
Legal (data protection, compliance & due diligence):
o Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of accurate records of data
processing activities.
o Contribute to compliance reviews and due diligence assessments of our
external partners.
o Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory
obligations, risk frameworks, internal policies and funder requirements.
o Contribute to research on applicable legal, regulatory and risk
management requirements and assist in summarizing and presenting
findings in clear, concise reports and presentations.
o Currently pursuing a university degree or equivalent studies in Risk
Management, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, other
European languages welcome.
o Strong proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, Microsoft Tools and
Monday.com and general IT/ data management.
o Strong research and analytical skills.
o High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
o Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
o Interest or prior experience or coursework in compliance, risk management,
data protection or governance is a plus.
o A genuine interest in the mission and values of the ECF.
o Candidates must be entitled to intern in the country they are applying for.
