Mission and objectives

Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas: 1. Inclusive Business; 2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development; 3. Impact investing; 4. Resilience and Crisis Response. The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.

Context

The online volunteer will be expected to: Training Design & Delivery Prepare and deliver structured training sessions covering: Dashboard design and automation. Introduction to AI methods for data quality checks. Mentorship & Practical Support Offer ongoing guidance to volunteers during Sprints 1–3. Support the Tool Development Team in refining data models and visualizations. Assist in resolving integration challenges between tools. Quality Assurance Review volunteers’ work to ensure dashboards and scripts meet usability and data reliability standards. Provide technical feedback for system improvement.

Task Description

The Online Volunteer Trainer will play a key role in building the capacity of community volunteers under the Armenia pilot of the Tech4R initiative. The assignment aims to strengthen volunteers’ skills in dashboard development, AI-assisted data analysis, and system integration to ensure that the final toolkit effectively connects Kobo-based data collection, AI-powered quality checks, and GIS visualization. The Trainer will design and deliver interactive training sessions that equip volunteers with the technical and conceptual understanding required to: Develop automated and user-friendly dashboards in tools such as Power BI, Google Data Studio, or open-source equivalents; Integrate AI-driven anomaly detection and data validation scripts; Ensure smooth interoperability between Kobo Toolbox datasets, GIS maps, and AI dashboards. The Trainer will collaborate closely with the Tool Development Team, Data Team and GIS Team to provide tailored mentoring throughout the three sprints, ensuring that volunteers are confident and capable in implementing and maintaining these digital solutions.
