Mission and objectives
Istanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDP’s global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDP’s offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas: 1. Inclusive Business; 2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development; 3. Impact investing; 4. Resilience and Crisis Response. The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.Context
As part of the Digital Accessibility and Universal Design Assessment Tool for Youth Centers in Ukraine, community volunteers will co-develop a digital self-assessment tool to evaluate accessibility in youth spaces. To ensure that the tool interface is inclusive, user-friendly, and aligned with universal design principles, the Trainer on Inclusive Digital Interface Design will guide volunteers in creating layouts, color schemes, and navigation flows that are accessible to diverse users. This trainer will focus on integrating inclusivity into every visual and interactive element — ensuring readability, simplicity, and accessibility across devices and assistive technologies. The trainer’s support will help make the final tool genuinely inclusive and practical for all users, regardless of ability or background.Task Description
Under the supervision of the Tech4R coordination team, the Trainer will: Conduct a short workshop on inclusive digital design principles for form-based and low-code tools. Demonstrate techniques for accessible layout creation, including visual hierarchy, color contrast, and font selection. Advise volunteers on structuring the user journey for clear navigation and minimal cognitive load. Introduce methods for integrating accessibility features, such as alternative text, captions, and consistent tab order.Competencies and values
