Context

The Multilingual Website Synchronization for GEF SGP Uzbekistan initiative, implemented under the Tech4R programme, aims to align and optimize the national GEF SGP website across Uzbek, Russian, and English versions. The project enhances accessibility, visibility, and inclusivity by ensuring that all language versions deliver consistent information and navigation experiences. The Trainer on Web Structure, Editing & Coordination will help volunteers understand and work within the existing structure of the GEF SGP Uzbekistan website. While the trainer is not expected to have prior familiarity with this specific site, they should be skilled in using common content management systems (such as WordPress or similar). This role ensures that volunteers maintain a unified approach to web content management and uphold the integrity of the site’s layout and navigation during the synchronization.

Task Description

Under the supervision of the Tech4R coordination team, the Trainer will: Deliver a practical orientation session on the website’s structure, page hierarchy, and content flow. Introduce volunteers to basic web editing procedures, including uploading, formatting, and hyperlinking content. Demonstrate coordination techniques for managing updates across multiple language teams. Provide guidance on layout consistency, version tracking, and quality control during synchronization. Offer feedback on page alignment and assist in troubleshooting layout or formatting inconsistencies. Support documentation of editing guidelines and workflow checklists for future maintenance.
