The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable cities, towns and other human settlements.Context
The Future Cities Advisory Outlooks (FCAOs) are the annual flagship reports of the UN-Habitat China Future Cities Council (CFCC), one of the key flagship programmes of the UN-Habitat China Office. Centering on the most critical urban topics, FCAOs deliver digital solutions to address global urban challenges and showcase innovative urban practices. To date, CFCC has released five FCAO reports, focusing on China’s tech overview, pandemic response, net-zero carbon transition, digital urban transformation, and AI-empowered sustainable urban development. To present CFCC’s core intellectual achievements in a more accessible and intuitive way, the team is about to develop an official FCAOs brochure for external communication and outreach.Task Description
UN-Habitat China are looking for one Online Volunteer who, in close collaboration with the communications team, supports the production of the layout and formatting of the brochure of Future Cities Advisory Outlooks (FCAOs). In particular, the/each Online Volunteer is asked to: - Develop one Future Cities Advisory Outlooks (FCAOs) brochure layout (approx. 20 pages) based on the contents of FCAOs under the guidance of the Country Manager of the UN-Habitat China Office; - Revise and ensure quality assurance of the brochure layout according to agreed requirements and feedback. The Online Volunteer may be asked to join virtual meetings. All materials remain the intellectual property of UN-Habitat China. Branding guidelines for UN Habitat will be provided.Competencies and values
