Job Description

Mission and objectives

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable cities, towns and other human settlements.

Context

The video to be developed is the promotional video of the UN-Habitat China Future Cities Council (CFCC) Programme. The CFCC is one of the flagship programmes of UN-Habitat China Office, it serves as a partnership platform that brings together UN-Habitat with visionary entrepreneurs and CEOs from China's high-tech and private sector. CFCC was established in 2019, and it produces one flagship report “Future Cities Advisory Outlook” (FCAO) each year with different themes. This promotional video serves multiple strategic roles: it elevates brand awareness and UN-Habitat’s credibility, visually translates flagship reports and Chinese smart-city practices for global audiences, attracts new city and corporate partners, energises conferences and events, and provides compelling evidence to secure funding and institutional support. A well-produced video turns complex data and achievements into an accessible, tech-driven narrative, making it an indispensable tool for outreach, advocacy, and resource mobilisation.
