The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Group Information Systems Directorate (GIS), Data & Corporate Solutions Department (DCS), Data Management Division (DM), Analytics & Reporting Unit (AR) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an Analytics Solution Officer*.

The Analytics Solution Officer ensures the stable, efficient and high‑quality delivery, evolution and governance of business‑critical IT applications and services supporting EIB Group business processes. The role exists to safeguard continuity of service, strengthen service delivery governance, and support the Bank’s ongoing modernisation initiatives by coordinating internal teams and external service providers in line with IT strategy, policies and contractual commitments.
The role focuses on the ownership and continuous evolution of analytics solutions, ensuring reliable operations while supporting ongoing change.
The role sits within the Analytics and Reporting Unit, which is responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of analytics and reporting solutions supporting EIB Group business processes. This includes solution ownership, service delivery, vendor coordination and contribution to change initiatives.
The post holder works closely with business stakeholders, IT counterparts, senior management and external providers, and reports directly to the Head of Unit.
Ensure end‑to‑end ownership and day‑to‑day delivery of analytics solutions and related services, maintaining availability, performance, security and compliance with internal standards.
Manage the full lifecycle of assigned solutions, from planning and sourcing through implementation, operation and controlled evolution, including roadmaps and service models.
Coordinate and steer external providers in a multi‑vendor setup, ensuring effective business‑as‑usual operations and measurable service performance through regular follow‑up, controls and reporting.
Support the definition and execution of externalisation initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, effective controls, service assurance and compliance with contractual obligations.
Liaise with business stakeholders, internal IT teams and external partners to translate functional needs into sustainable analytics solutions.
Contribute to project and delivery activities related to the acquisition of software and services, ensuring consistency with business priorities, enterprise architecture principles, IT security requirements and applicable policies.
Support continuous improvement of analytics platforms and services by identifying optimisation opportunities, promoting standardisation and reducing solution complexity where appropriate.
Maintain awareness of functional and technical evolutions of the platforms within the area of responsibility, advising stakeholders on relevant enhancements, options and implications.
Ensure appropriate governance, documentation, risk management and reporting across service delivery and change activities.
Support operational resilience through active involvement in incident handling, change coordination and issue escalation in collaboration with relevant parties.
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management, Economics/Finance or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in analytics solution delivery, analytics platforms or reporting environments, including solution lifecycle or delivery coordination.
Proven experience working with external service providers in a multi‑vendor or outsourced environment.
Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including report development and platform administration (experience with Microsoft Fabric is an asset).
Exposure to data, reporting or analytics platforms and environments.
Experience with other business intelligence and analytics tools such as SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Analytics Cloud or Tableau is considered an asset.
Good understanding of application lifecycle management, IT service management principles and delivery governance.
Experience in coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
Experience in Data Warehouse design and methodologies would be an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international organization.
Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*) with a good command of the other. (Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage).
