Mission and objectives
GLOWA fights against human trafficking and the damage it creates in our communities throughout the Northwest region of Cameroon through community education to prevent trafficking, support for victims, and advocacy on their behalf. Through these works, GLOWA aims to nurture a culture of respect for human rights, particularly those of children and women, in the region and fight against the systematic abuses faced by the most vulnerable.Context
Global Welfare Association (GLOWA) is a women-led grassroots organization based in the conflict-affected North West Region of Cameroon. GLOWA implements programs in mental health support, gender justice, youth and women’s economic empowerment and legal advocacy for vulnerable populations. Currently, GLOWA’s website does not fully reflect the organization’s impact or support efficient communication with donors, partners and communities. A redesigned website is critical to improve visibility, share program achievements and facilitate engagement and resource mobilization. This assignment provides an opportunity for a volunteer to lead a team of online contributors, ensuring the website redesign is well-coordinated, high-quality and aligned with GLOWA’s mission. The role directly supports GLOWA’s ability to strengthen its digital presence and amplify its impact in the region.Task Description
