Mission and objectives
UNFPA, the United Nations sexual and reproductive health agency, is on a mission to deliver a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. Operating across more than 150 countries, UNFPA works to achieve four transformative results: ending the unmet need for family planning, ending preventable maternal deaths, ending gender-based violence and harmful practices, and strengthening adaptation to demographic change to build resilient societies. In the Asia-Pacific region, UNFPA leverages data and innovation to navigate complex demographic shifts, climate-related challenges, and social inequalities. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and scaling successful local solutions, the UNFPA Asia-Pacific Regional Office ensures that rights and choices remain accessible to all, even in the most remote or crisis-affected communities.Context
