The IDB Group is a community of diverse, versatile, and passionate people who come together on a journey to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our people find purpose and do what they love in an inclusive, collaborative, agile, and rewarding environment.
We are looking for a strategic communications consultant. As a communications consultant, you will support the development and implementation of the Institutions for Development department’s (IFD) communications strategy and craft high-impact narratives that showcase the sector’s work. You will also collaborate closely with stakeholders across the IDB, coordinate with IFD management, and work in partnership with the IDB’s Communications Division (DCC) to ensure alignment with corporate communications. This includes contributing to media and press relations, supporting digital channels and platforms, upholding editorial governance and content quality, ensuring compliance with brand management and visual standards, and promoting knowledge dissemination and internal communications. Additionally, the role requires strong storytelling skills to effectively communicate the sector’s impact. You will work under the supervision of IFD management and in coordination with DCC.
You will work in IFD, which works with countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to strengthen institutions and create conditions for sustainable economic growth. IFD supports governments in designing and implementing effective public policies, strengthening public finances, and fostering transparent, predictable regulatory frameworks that enable markets to function efficiently and mobilize investment for development. IFD’s work spans key areas including fiscal management and public finance, governance and integrity, justice, citizen security and the rule of law, digital government and digital public infrastructure, and the development of efficient financial markets.
