Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Deputy Registrar and/or an Associate Legal Officer, the intern will: - Assist in the administration of the Court’s Judicial Fellowship Programme (JFP), including assignment pertaining to the Trust Fund for the Judicial Fellowship Programme established by resolution 75/129 to provide fellowship awards to eligible nationals of developing countries nominated by universities based in developing countries and selected by the Court. - Assist the Deputy-Registrar with assignments relating to his participation in committees and task forces by preparing background materials, summaries of issues, specific analysis, agendas etc.; - Contribute to research assignments and prepare corresponding background materials, summaries, note and reports.
Qualifications/special skills
The applicants must be enrolled in a graduate programme (Master's level or higher) have graduated within the past two years in international law, international affairs, public/business administration or equivalent.
Languages
An excellent command of at least one of the Court's official and working languages (English and French) is required. Knowledge of the other language shall be considered an added asset.
