WFP Lebanon provides cash assistance to Syrian refugees and in-kind assistance to vulnerable Lebanese, while supporting the Government in strengthening social safety nets. Job Purpose:

Under the overall supervision of the Head of TEC, the incumbent will coordinate and guide Information Technology maintenance and support activities to enable the effective delivery of IT services. They will as well provide technical support for ICT initiatives implemented with internal and external stakeholders, including government institutions. The role will support the preparation, configuration, and deployment of end‑user devices; conduct ICT assessments; and ensure that all technology solutions and processes comply with WFP’s IT standards, guidelines, and operational procedures. The incumbent will also follow up on project‑related support requests and contribute to the effective rollout and monitoring of digital tools and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):

Within delegated authority and under the direct supervision of the Head of TEC, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

• Carry out system and hardware maintenance tasks, such as running specialized network monitoring and system protection, to ensure technology is running effectively.
• Monitor technology reliability, identify user needs, analyze data and produce accurate reports in order to recommend IT solutions to support informative decision-making.
• Resolve queries independently, escalating if required, to ensure that standard IT questions are answered and accurate information is provided to staff.
• Provide standard technical training to end users of commonly used technology and systems, in order to assist WFP staff in conducting their work.
• Provide guidance and training to junior colleagues in the delivery of IT support services to support the capability building of staff.
• Support the co-ordination of new application implementation in order to provide WFP staff with the tools they need to perform effectively.
• Draft standard material such as end-user and technical documentation to ensure staff have access to required information about IT services and products.
• Implement improvements to methods and processes within the IT division in order to support the continuous improvement of IT services provided.
• Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment, to ensure optimal services in compliance with standard operations procedures.
• Coordinate a team of IT staff to ensure individual and team objectives are met in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
• Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met.
• Perform other related duties, as required.

STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.

Experience: At least six (6) years of professional experience in IT support, system administration infrastructure and networking management.

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic. Knowledge of French language is an added advantage.

Required Experiences for entry into the role:

• Experience analyzing IT service performance and developing recommendations to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Experience supporting ICT activities related to operational projects with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement or budgeting processes
• Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively support end‑users and partners.
• Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and processes.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and operational pressures.
• Experience conducting IT hardware and infrastructure assessments and ensuring compliance with organizational IT standards and guidelines is an advantage
• Demonstrated experience coordinating or delivering IT projects in collaboration with government ministries or other national stakeholders.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

• Experience with AWS and Azure hosting environments is an asset.
• Practical experience administering Microsoft Intune, including device preparation, enrollment, compliance policy configuration, software deployment, and monitoring.
• Hands-on experience in network administration (e.g., Cisco technologies, routing/switching, virtualization, etc.)
