The Individual Giving (IG) Digital Marketing Team is part of the Americas Regional Private Sector Partnerships (PSP). The team supports with digital, and data marketing expertise to support PSP fundraising markets regionally, and internal and non-fundraising teams across the organization.
This role is part of the Regional and Canada teams and will work closely with the Digital Paid Media Marketing Officer to support the market and key stakeholders across the organization, to develop and implement digital paid media marketing activities. The team is working towards an in-house media buying model of operation, therefore strong working knowledge of various marketing channels is critical for this position.
2. Purpose and Scope of Assignment

Under the overall supervision of the Paid Media and Digital Marketing Officer, the Senior Paid Media Assistant will assist in the following:
Paid media campaigns management
• Build out media buys for various ad platforms and the day-to-day execution of paid media primarily for Canada and secondly for other markets depending on demand
• Set up and support in the optimization of paid media campaigns across social (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube), search (Google Ads and Microsoft Ads), display and programmatic (GDN, DV360) and other digital channels
• Support relevant colleagues in assessing the need and adapting new and existing creative assets for paid channels
• Support in conducting in-depth keyword and website research, ad grouping and audience targeting to optimize towards positive ROI
• Troubleshoot performance issues and work alongside internal teams to find solutions
• Assist in the strategy and implement extensive testing to define best practices and optimize towards best performing creatives, placements, audiences and landing pages
• Analyze campaign performance data via Google marketing tools and internal platforms to ensure timely and efficient optimization, and be able to present the results to stakeholders
• Support team members in doing monthly and yearly forecasting
• Work with third-party partners and agencies to implement new digital marketing solutions
• Generate innovative ideas and iterate on them to improve campaigns’ efficiency
Support regional offices and third parties
• Assist in the execution of cutting-edge digital media buying from conception to launch in Canada
• Support the Digital Paid Media Marketing Officer in compiling paid media guidelines based on performance and providing appropriate training across the organization
• Support the Digital Paid Media Marketing Officer in providing necessary training sessions on paid media across the organization
3. Monitoring and Progress Controls
(Clear description of measurable outputs, milestones, key performance indicators and/or reporting requirements which will enable performance monitoring)
• Weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on paid media performance on Canada/ platform levels
• With support of Digital Paid Media Marketing Officer conduct regular audits of paid media accounts for actionable recommendations
• Completion of the tasks and assignments detailed in the pre-agreed work plan to a suitably high standard
• Weekly/monthly one-to-one meetings with the supervising officer
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies
4. Qualifications and Experience
• High School Diploma with 2 years relevant work experience; 1-year relevant work experience with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher
• Google Marketing Certification is an added advantage
5. Work Experience
• 2-years relevant work experience (with High School Diploma) or 1-year relevant work experience with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or higher
• Hands-on, demonstratable experience in managing paid media campaigns across main digital channels: Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, GDN, DV360 etc.
• Experience in managing programmatic display campaigns
• Experience within advertising operations with working knowledge of tag creation and trafficking
• Demonstratable experience of working with Google Marketing Platform stack and experience in using its tools for campaign set up and optimization
• Working knowledge of web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, and experience in working with large data sets to develop effective marketing strategies
• Solid understanding of digital performance marketing, conversion, and online donor acquisition
• Proven case studies of delivering successful campaigns
• Experience working with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Desirable
• Knowledge of Google Tag manager
• Understanding of agile principles and tools – Trello / JIRA or similar
• Experience of working with external marketing/media buying agencies
