Mission and objectives
UNICRI is a United Nations entity established in 1968 and mandate to assist intergovernmental, governmental and non-governmental organizations in formulating and implementing improved policies in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice. The Institute strongly emphasizes action-oriented analysis and integrated technical assistance. The current priorities are justice reform, financial and emerging crimes and security governance. UNICRI, as part of the European Union’s (EU) CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative, has leveraged the expertise outlined in the Prosecutors Guide on Chemical and Biological (CB) Crimes and the Prosecutors Guide on Radiological and Nuclear (RN) Crimes to craft a comprehensive capacity-building and training package. This initiative is designed to enhance investigative, prosecutorial, and adjudicative capabilities within the realm of CBRN crimes.Context
Volunteer/s will produce video injects and develop scenarios focused on fictitious Radiological and Nuclear cases. These videos will be a part of the project on Strengthening CBRN Investigation, Prosecution and Adjudication (IPA) Capabilities The expected start date of the collaboration is 23 February 2026.Task Description
We are seeking online volunteer to develop video content for the pilot training course on Strengthening CBRN Investigation, Prosecution and Adjudication (IPA) Capabilities, within the framework of the European Union’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative. 1. Creation of Video Injects: • Produce a short video injects based on a fictitious Radiological and Nuclear scenario to be used during the training activities. Each video will be approximately 3-5 minutes long. • Ensure the video injects align with the objectives of the training course. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance. • Edit and finalize video/s injects/s to be used in training modules. Video will be created based on the preliminary draft script on the Radiological and Nuclear scenario. 2. Review and Feedback: • Participate in review sessions and preparatory meetings to gather feedback from stakeholders. • Make necessary adjustments based on the feedback to improve the quality of the videos. 3. Collaboration and Communication: • Work closely with the training team to understand the specific needs and objectives. • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Coordinator to provide updates on progress and receive guidance.Competencies and values
