The Technology and Transformation Department (TTD/TDS) is seeking a professional in Information Technology (IT)—technical, service-oriented, and proactive—to provide local IT support at the Country Office (Bank Representation) in Barbados.
You will work as part of the local support team within the Service Delivery area of the Technology and Data Solutions division (TDS) of the TTD Department. This team is responsible for providing on-site technical support at the IDB Group’s country offices.
Education: Academic Degree/ Level or equivalent Years of Professional Work Experience on BSc. Computer Science. Working knowledge in MS Windows 10, MS O365, communication platforms, mobile devices (Android/iOS), MS Active Directory, VMWare/VDI and workstations maintenance. Desirable working knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, service request and knowledge management. Certification is a plus. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and continuous improvement frameworks is a plus.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the IT field. Experience in customer support activities. Experience in Project Management, based on the PMI standard is a plus.
Additional education/experience: 1) Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, along with their potential applications; and 2) Extensive understanding of ethical considerations and responsible use of AI.
Languages: Proficiency in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Citizenship: You are either a citizen of the Republic of Barbados or a citizen of one of our 48-member countries with residency or legal permit to work in Barbados.
• Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
