The Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) is an intergovernmental agency which operates under the framework of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). It facilitates co-operation among countries with advanced nuclear technology infrastructures to seek excellence in nuclear safety, technology, science, related environmental and economic matters and law. The mission of the NEA is to assist its 34 member countries in maintaining and further developing, through international cooperation, the scientific, technological and legal bases required for a safe, environmentally sound and economical use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. It strives to provide authoritative assessments and to forge common understandings on key issues as input to government decisions on nuclear technology policies.

The IT Endpoint Support Coordinator provides frontline technical support and assists with the day-to-day management of end-user devices and services. This role focuses on Microsoft-based environments, including Microsoft 365, Windows 11, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Additionally, the role includes basic IT administrative duties such as preparing purchase orders and maintaining IT asset records. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with users at all levels. Reporting to the IT Systems Manager, this position will be involved in core IT Operations and Support, ensuring high quality service and adherence to security and compliance rules. This position is ideal for candidates looking to start or grow their career in IT operations and endpoint management.

Working in the NEA IT team offers opportunity to develop hands-on experience with modern Microsoft technologies, mentoring and support from experienced IT professionals, exposure to both technical and operational aspects of IT.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities

Endpoint & User Support

  • Provide first-line support for end users, resolving issues related to:
    • Windows 11 desktops and laptops
    • Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of users, including device setup and account provisioning
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when required

Endpoint Management

  • Manage devices using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)
  • Support device enrollment, configuration, and compliance policies
  • Apply software updates, patches, and security configurations
  • Perform software installations and updates on endpoints
  • Assist with endpoint inventory and lifecycle management
  • Follow IT security and endpoint management best practices

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Prepare and track IT-related purchase orders and requests
  • Assist with vendor coordination and procurement documentation
  • Maintain IT asset records and inventory lists
  • Support documentation of procedures, guides, and user instructions
  • Assist with general IT operational tasks as needed

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

Academic and Professional Background

  • Associate or undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0–5 years of experience in an IT support or junior IT role
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
  • Working knowledge of Windows 11
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) or similar endpoint management tools
  • Basic understanding of IT support processes and ticketing systems

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Experience with IT asset management or procurement processes
  • Basic understanding of IT security principles
  • Entry-level IT certifications

Languages

  • Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Contract Duration

  • 24 month fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months

  • Monthly base salary starts at 4502.33 EUR, plus allowances, based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
