Our mission is to promote the social, economic, intellectual and informational development of cities and districts of Tajikistan, particularly through the empowerment of youth and women.

Context

Rousto Charity Civil Society Organization is a trusted grassroots nonprofit dedicated to transforming rural lives across Tajikistan. For over 15 years, we have worked hand-in-hand with underserved communities to build sustainable futures. To date, our dedicated team has successfully implemented more than 25 targeted projects addressing critical systemic challenges. Our comprehensive development model focuses on five core pillars:

• Education & Health: Breaking barriers to quality schooling and essential medical services in remote villages.
• Empowerment: Creating viable economic, social, and leadership opportunities for women and youth.
• Governance: Strengthening transparency, community accountability, and human rights advocacy.
• Climate Action: Building community resilience against regional environmental risks through localized adaptation strategies. This task will enable our organization to secure funding from regional and international donors to implement our mission. We are determined to implement projects on improved access to quality education and healthcare, employment by vulnerable population in remote rural areas. Our major objective is to bridge the gap between urban and rural areas.

Task Description

The selected online volunteer will collaborate with our team to secure critical funding from major regional and international donor agencies (including corporate foundations like Cisco). Specifically, the volunteer will be asked to: - Draft Project Proposals: Write high-quality, compelling grant proposals tailored to the specific evaluation criteria of major international donors. - Refine Narratives: Structure clear problem statements, project objectives, implementation methodologies, and measurable impact metrics. - Integrate Local Data: Transform internal organizational data, statistics, and project insights provided by our team into a persuasive case for support. - Review & Polish: Edit and refine existing drafts to ensure they meet the rigorous compliance and formatting standards of institutional grantmakers. Daily Logistics & Communication We maintain a highly adaptable and communicative environment to accommodate the volunteer's schedule across different time zones: Primary Communication: Day-to-day messaging, quick check-ins, and ongoing updates will take place via WhatsApp based on immediate project needs. Document Management: All drafts, research materials, templates, and supporting files will be shared, co-edited, and organized dynamically via Google Drive. Virtual Meetings: Strategic discussions, project briefings, and deep-dives into application requirements will be conducted through virtual calls on Zoom or WhatsApp. Availability & Commitment Flexible Scheduling: There are no rigid or preset dates and times required for availability. All virtual meetings and deadlines will be mutually agreed upon in advance to suit both the volunteer and our team.Our Commitment: Our internal team will fully support the volunteer by proactively gathering and providing all the necessary organizational data, field insights, and documentation required to ensure a high-quality application.
