Support development of knowledge product for UNFPA on use of Social Impact Bonds

Mission and objectives

UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe, and every young person's potential is fulfilled. UNFPA’s strategic plan (2022-2025) reaffirms the relevance of the current strategic direction of UNFPA and focuses on three transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violence and harmful practices. These results capture our strategic commitments on accelerating progress towards realizing the ICPD and SDGs in the Decade of Action leading up to 2030. Context

Under the direct supervision of the Resource Mobilization and Partnerships Analyst, working closely with the Representative, Online Volunteer will support reviewing the necessary documentation in online public sources to develop a white paper for UNFPA Turkiye on possible use of Social impact Bonds.

Task Description

The knowledge product for internal and external use related to social impact bond will include the following: ● Research relevant to Turkiye context on the use of social impact bonds in areas of UNFPA mandate including a list of key potential partners from Türkiye and potential investors, ● White paper for UNFPA Turkiye on possible use of Social impact Bonds, ● A concept note and suggested action plan for advancing on securing partnerships for a social impact bond in Türkiye. Weekly discussions with RM and Partnership Analyst and delivery every Friday of the expected product via email. Additional communication is possible throughout the week as needed to advance the work. Suggested Timeline is as follows: Week 1: Submission of the outline of the White paper Week 2: Submission of the draft of the White paper Week 3: Submission of the revised draft incorporating UNFPA comments Week 4: Finalization of the implementation plan and next steps and finalization of the Annex
