The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is committed to achieving global food security, ending hunger, and promoting sustainable agriculture. This assignment will support FAO Kazakhstan by making key technical questionnaires available in Russian for national counterparts and other relevant stakeholders. The volunteer's contribution will facilitate data collection and strengthen collaboration with national institutions, supporting FAO's work towards SDG 2: Zero Hunger and sustainable agricultural development.Task Description
FAO Kazakhstan (FAOKZ) is looking for one Online Volunteer to support in translating two FAO Technical Conversion Factors (TCF) questionnaires for Food Balance Sheets from English into Russian. The translation should accurately reflect the technical terminology while preserving the original meaning, structure, and formatting of the questionnaires to support their use by national counterparts and other relevant stakeholders. - Translate two Excel-based questionnaires (including tables and brief instructions) from English into Russian. - Ensure the accurate and consistent use of technical terminology throughout the translation. - Proofread the translated documents prior to submission. - Preserve the original formatting and layout of the Excel files. The selected Online Volunteer will receive the source documents and any relevant reference materials upon assignment. Occasional coordination meetings via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or WhatsApp may be required during the assignment.Competencies and values
