Result of Service
Expected tangible and measurable output(s)/deliverable(s): 1. goAML brochure or other advocacy materials prepared/updated and widely disseminated to appropriate target audiences. 2. Advocacy events such as conferences, forums etc. organized as appropriate. 3. Support senior official participation in these and other relevant events, via briefing materials. 4. Conduct meetings and discussions to develop a tailored communications plan for the possible 11th goAML International User Group Meeting. Web story and social media post prepared and disseminated. 5. goAML website and its social media accounts updated.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the guidance and supervision of the Business Relationship Manager of the Software Products for Member States Section, the consultant will further enhance goAML’s communications, outreach and advocacy support. Duties and Responsibilities: - Update and disseminate the goAML brochure to improve visibility and knowledge sharing (15 days, by 18 Dec 2026). - Prepare briefing materials, web stories, and social media posts for key events, including: 1- Netherlands Strategic Meeting (July 2026) 2- ECOFEL/UNODC Virtual Assets Training (10–11 Dec) - Develop communications plan for the 11th goAML IUGM and produce related briefings, web story, and social media content (10 days). - Maintain and update the goAML website and social media accounts as needed (10 days).
Qualifications/special skills
• Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, political science or related field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. • A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, international relations, public administration, or related area is required. • Working experiences in user-centric outreach, or PR, or web design or communication in and across the UN System are desirable. • Demonstrated experience in organizing promotional and press events and activities, preparing presentations, statements and other materials for advocacy and public outreach purposes as well as social media is required. • Experience in data analytics or related area is desirable. • Experience in working with UNODC is desirable.
Languages
• English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations working language is an advantage.
